Agra, a city steeped in history and romance, is home to two iconic architectural wonders—the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. Join us on a journey as we explore the grandeur of these magnificent structures, delving into their rich history and experiencing their timeless beauty. In this blog post, we will take you through the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal and the architectural marvels of the Red Fort in Agra.

Our visit to Agra had one purpose—to witness the Taj Mahal, a wonder of India that had captivated our son Yuven. Combining Delhi and Amritsar with this itinerary, we eagerly embarked on our journey. With the first rays of sunlight, we reached Agra, ready to behold the epitome of love and architectural brilliance. As we approached the breathtaking Taj Mahal, leaving us in awe of its grandeur, we couldn’t help but be amazed by its beauty.

We had booked our tickets online in advance. One ticket allowed us to enter the premises of the Taj Mahal, while the other granted access to the main mausoleum. The cost of the premises ticket was Rs. 50 per person, and children up to the age of 15 could enter for free. The main mausoleum ticket cost Rs. 200 per person. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, and the visiting hours are in line with the sunrise and sunset. On normal days, it opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes before sunset. For full moon days, there are separate visiting hours and entry fees. Complete details can be found at https://www.tajmahal.gov.in/. ......
