Chi葯in膬u, the capital city of Moldova, might not be at the top of everyone鈥檚聽travel聽list, but it is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by adventurous travellers. As the largest city in this small Eastern European country, Chi葯in膬u has a unique charm that sets it apart from the typical tourist destinations.

I spent my first night at Hotel Chi葯in膬u. If you want to have a Soviet experience, then this hotel is perfect! You get an authentic experience with vintage furniture but everything is spotless clean and working. The welcome at the front desk was just great, lovely woman. I was also warned that it might take some time before warm water comes from the shower but in my case I got warm water just a few seconds after I opened the tap even though I was on the 3rd floor. The room was big and spacy and everything was functioning although it looked outdated but that was to be expected. The bed was comfortable though and the air conditioner worked fine. Great location too!

And if you do decide to visit, I recommend you stay at this聽apartment studio right in the centre of Chi葯in膬u聽(thanks Victor for your warm hospitality). Not only do you get to stay close to the main sights in the city but you also get a free secure parking space in the yard.
