Athens had been on my bucket list ever since I learnt about the Ancient Greeks at school and my teacher told me that I could go and see it for myself. I have included a quick whistle stop tour about Athens’ history and a snippet about its modern culture.
Our Athens itinerary is varied, fun and even has time for relaxation. It includes a wide range of activities from learning about its history to exploring hidden gems, sailing to Greek islands and getting insights from locals.
The suggestions are flexible and you can tweak it to suit your budget, preferences and interests. This is the order that we spent our time. I would suggest moving the days accordingly so that you see the Acropolis on a week day so it is less busy.
The capital city of Greece is well known for its ancient Greek relics, famous philosophers and being the birth place of democracy.
