Established in 1598 and completed in 1922 by German architect Richard Berndl in Neo Romanesque style, this Catholic monastery houses over 45 monk residences dedicated to the ora et labora principle.

Officially completed in the year of 1947 and occasionally known as the Banespa Building, this Art Deco skyscraper is a major landmark. Standing proudly at 161.22 meters tall, it holds the special distinction as São Paulo’s tallest building for 20 years.
